Chasing Nightmares

Wishing for darkness

Praying for rain

Chasing a dream is scarier than realizing a nightmare is real

Once you’ve been at the bottom you know you can climb

But what happens when dreams come true

When you’re standing at the highest peak of the highest summit

There’s not much room

The air is thin

You’re alone

Misery loves company and the club of misery doesn’t discriminate

Imagine Instagram for life’s worst moments

No envy because everyone has bad days

At the top you can slip, fall, get pushed or be pulled

Why climb again when you know the bottom doesn’t rise with you

Each fall hurts the same

Falling on the floor you’re standing on hurts less

The worst nightmares come after the best dreams

When you’re not only running from the terror, but running toward your dream
